Royal Ascot 2025 Betting Tips, Predictions and Ante-Post Bets
Last updated: by Ed Quigley
I’ve done the hard work for you and identified my strongest Royal Ascot ante post betting tips and predictions. These five horses represent my favourite betting opportunities of the week, backed by thorough form analysis and insights. You’ll find my full research and reasoning for each pick detailed below, plus the horse racing bookmakers offering the current best odds for each.
Rosallion – Queen Anne Stakes – Tuesday 2.40

ROSALLION has a golden opportunity to get back in the winning groove here. The Richard Hannon representative is a class act and boasts a record of two wins from two starts at Ascot, including when landing the St James’ Palace last year. He was off the track since then, before finishing third in last month’s Lockinge, which was a run full of promise. He was a bit keen, but travelled powerfully for a long way, before tiring late on, which was understandable given the amount of time off the track he had had. That should have removed any ring-rust and have him stripped fit for this assignment, where he can put his best foot forward. Quick ground suits, and he looks to have every chance of kicking off the meeting with a win to notch his third success at the Berkshire venue in the process.
Candelari – Ascot Gold Cup – Thursday 4.20
Bet365 | Candelari Age: 4 | Weight: 8-13 | J: N/A | T: F Graffard | OR: N/A | 7/2 Best odds at bet365 |
Full T&Cs Apply! For new customers at bet365. Min deposit requirement. Free Bets are paid as Bet Credits and are available for use upon settlement of bets to value of qualifying deposit. There is no Kyprios, so the door has been flung wide for a new star to arrive on the scene. I am not totally sold on Illinois for all that he has to be respected, and I think this can go the way of France and CANDELARI. This unexposed stayer landed Group 1 honours last time out and seems to be progressing at a rate of knots. He stayed on powerfully to land the spoils last time, so it gives every indicator that this distance could easily be on the radar. This is a division with a lot of the same old faces, and looks ripe for something fresh to come through and lay down a marker for the staying crown. Providing connections gives him the green light; he can take the trophy home across the English Channel.
Falakeyah – Coronation Stakes – Friday 5.00
Bet365 | Falakeyah Age: 3 | Weight: 9-2 | J: Jim Crowley | T: Owen Burrows | OR: N/A | 3/1 Best odds at bet365 |
Full T&Cs Apply! For new customers at bet365. Min deposit requirement. Free Bets are paid as Bet Credits and are available for use upon settlement of bets to value of qualifying deposit. Min odds, bet and payment method exclusions apply. Returns exclude Bet Credits stake. Time limits and T&Cs apply. Registration required. 18+ Begambleaware.org |
Connections have got to decide as to whether to supplement FALAKEYAH for the Coronation Stakes, and if they do, then I think she is the one they all have to beat. She was ruled out of the French Oaks with a dirty scope, but is ready to roll once again and she is a filly who looks to have serious potential. The Owen Burrows team have to decide whether to drop back to 1m or not, but she has plenty of gears and pace to burn so I don’t see the drop back to a mile on a stiff track like Ascot being of any concern. I think she can win at the top level and be one of the stars on show at this year’s Royal Ascot, so fingers crossed she makes the gig.
Treanmor – Chesham Stakes – Saturday 2.30
Bet365 | Treanmor Age: 2 | Weight: 9-7 | J: N/A | T: C Appleby | OR: N/A | TBC Best odds at bet365 |
There aren’t many more exciting 2-year-olds than TREANMOR, and he can prove too good in this Listed race. He cost a small fortune at around £1.7m, but made things look very easy when winning at Newmarket on debut. Naturally, that Novice event wasn’t a strong heat, but he dispatched his rivals with the minimum of fuss, and made things look incredibly easy as he strutted his stuff in the hands of William Buick. Connections will be hoping he can live up to his hefty price tag, and I think he has the tools to go and deliver. I imagine he will start a warm favourite for the Chesham Stakes and give Charlie Appleby his first win in this race since Pinatubo in 2019.
Kikkuli – Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes – Saturday 4.20
Bet365 | Kikkuli Age: 4 | Weight: 9-2 | J: N/A | T: Harry Charlton | OR: 108 | 33/1 Best odds at bet365 |
We have had upsets in this race in recent times, and I am going for another potential boil-over here in the shape of KIKKULI. The Harry Charlton-trained 4-year-old has been a bit of an enigma in recent times, but I am convinced they have had the trip all wrong for him and I would love to see him come back to the sprinting division. He has only tackled 7f and 1m in his career and, in fairness, did run a blinder when beaten on the line in the Jersey Stakes at last year’s Royal Meeting. But he was quite keen and lit up that day, and I thought he ran well in that 7f assignment in spite of 7f, rather than because of 7f. He has plenty of options at the moment for Royal Ascot, and it will be fascinating which way he goes, but if he lines up over 6f for the first time in his career, then he could run a race at big odds, and it is a contest which has a history of causing upsets.
