What Can I Find There?
Here is a brief overview of the stand out attributes of the Coral mobile app. In order to provide you with the complete picture we took into account both their good and bad sides.
The app is designed quite logically with 4 main sections at the bottom of the screen which are ‘Home’, ‘Live’,’Football’ and ‘Racing’ which means it’s very easy to find the most popular markets. Home brings up selected matches and races with some suggested multiples shown for both football and horses. Also on the home page there is a ‘quick links’ which gives you one-touch access to things like ‘today’s football’ and a few other markets which change regularly.
The ‘live’ button takes you to the in-play section and you can see events that are already taking place, you see the odds change in real time. By default all markets are listed but by selecting icons, different markets will be shown such as football, tennis, golf (not a sport!!), cricket, snooker, rugby and a few others to bring the number of in-play categories to nine.
Horse racing fans will feel well looked after with useful navigation of ‘next 4’, ‘today’,’tomorrow’ and ‘future’ so it’s always easy to find the race you are looking for. This format is repeated for Greyhound racing and again it’s a doddle to find a meet you are interested in.
The differences between the Ipad and the Iphone apps are noticeable, not that the content is any different it is just the larger screen estate on the Ipad allows more content to be shown which makes it easier to navigate.
Whilst it is very easy to navigate, I wasn’t blown away by the design! It’s hard to criticise when it is functional and fine to use but doesn’t have the wow factor (unlike Paddy Power, read our review here )
- Coral App Home screen The Coral app home screen is really welcoming with its nice colour scheme. The use of icons make it easy to select a market.
- Features Navigation The navigation menu of Coral’s Betting app. The big icons clearly show where they will take you. For example The ‘live’ button takes you to the in-play section.
- Mobile Bet Slip Placing bets is fast and easy with Coral Mobile. Tap on the pre-determined amount buttons or just enter the amount manually. Very simple and easy to use.
- Live Betting at Coral How the Coral live console looks like. Apart from the markets there are Commentary and Statistics panels. This is really useful when betting in-play as you can see which team is dominating to give you an edge.
- Register your Card By using this app you can add a payment method such as Credit or Debit card. It is easy to add another payment method or choose between several you have set up.
- Complete a Deposit After adding your card or e-wallet, you can proceed to making a deposit, in this example PayPal displayed but there are several other methods of making a deposit.
Sportsbook Live Betting and Streaming
Coral streams selected sports live for free, you can tell if an event is available for streaming as it has a play button shown next to the event. The sports that are covered by the streaming service include: Football, Snooker, Tennis, Darts, Basketball, NRL and Cricket.
HOWEVER – on the betting app only football and tennis are available. This is a massive blow. I hope Coral improve on this in the future. The redeeming thing for horse racing lovers is that you can watch live UK, Irish & Dubai Racing from anywhere, on your PC, iPhone, iPad or Android device.
Coral App Bonuses
Whilst Coral doesn’t offer mobile users any additional incentives to open an account, they do give a £20 free bet when you place a single or accumulator of just £5. The bonus lasts for 7 days and must be wagered at odds of at least 1/2. The qualifying bet must be made within 14 days of account creation. The free bet must be wagered in full, can be redeemed on win or each-way bets and can be used on the following listed bet types: single, double, treble, 4-fold and upwards accumulator, forecast and combination. As is normal practice the free bet stake is not included in any winnings. We like this bonus as it’s effectively a 400% deposit bonus.
Within the app there is a ‘My Promotions’ section, this lists all the available special offers that are currently active. At the time of writing there was no special mobile promo offers, just the same offers that are available for the desktop version. However the list of promotions available is long and varied.
Betslip and Minimum Bet
When making a selection it goes into the bet slip which is located in the top right corner, this certainly doesn’t feel as slick as the Ladbrokes quick bet feature (you can read our Ladbrokes mobile review here ) but is adequate. The bet slip will highlight to inform you whether or not the stake you have entered meets the minimum requirement. This minimum stakes will change depending on the bet type and also the market(s) that the bet is being placed on. And when you do go to your bet slip there is a quick stake option and with one quick press you can select £5, £10, £20, £50 and £100 stakes and then press ‘bet now’. There is also a box where you directly enter an amount you require.
Transactions and More
Coral deposit methods on the app are quite limited compared to the ones at Ladbrokes mobile and the app only supports card payments (Credit and Debit) and Paypal. This will be fine for the majority of people but lack of other e-wallet options is slightly disappointing.

Overall Conclusion / Our Verdict
Coral have produced a solid and reliable app that does what we need to do, the downside is that it just barely does what we want it to do. There is nothing exceptional about the app and is quite plain and mundane. It lacks killer features to put it in the same bracket as the Paddy Power’s mobile app – it’s fine and functional but we expect more!

- Coral mobile app Highs and Lows
- Great list of promotions
- Generous welcome bonus
- Live console
- 4 touches to make a bet
- No mobile bonus
- No live chat available
When it comes to navigation, the app is more than decent. You can use the development intuitively and the nice colour scheme is boosting your user experience even more. It’s really easy to claim all Coral bonuses with the app and the live feeds are also available.
The list of markets is great and every sport you find on the main site is available on the app, this isn’t the case for all sportsbook applications so that is great to see.
On the downside, there actually are few points on which Coral should definitely pay more attention and improve. Sadly, on the app you will find only football and tennis feeds. Another drawback is the limited choice of mobile payment methods.

How to get the Coral betting app on my iPhone or iPad?
In case you don’t want to use the Web-based application of Coral, you can opt for downloading the native app. The whole process is easier for Apple users, since the app is available for free download at the App Store but ensure you click here first to open an account before you download as it will make the process so much easier for you.
Coral betting app download instructions for Android users
Those of you who are on Android will have a bit more work to do in order to install the app, due to the restrictions for gambling software that are applied in Google Play store. You will need to get the app from another website. Getjar is the most popular Android app supplier, but you will need to make some alterations on your device, before getting the betting app. You can of course use the mobile version by opening your browser, most people find this as good as the app. First, click here first to open an account before you download as it will make the process easier for you. Then all you need to do is open your security settings menu and tick the Unknown sources check box. This will enable the installation of mobile apps from sources different from Google Play. After you do that you need to be careful what you install, but we can guarantee that Coral mobile is completely harmless and safe.
The Coral mobile site is not working! Why?
The most common reason is that your wireless Internet connection has been lost. Can you open webpages? You won’t be able to reach any web-based application if you are offline and the native app also won’t load as it needs an internet connection. Also does your phone meet the minimum software requirements (see table above)? It could also be that at the moment there is an ongoing maintenance, so if everything else works I suggest that you try reloading the app later.
