What is a Patent Bet?
Before going any further it is pertinent to explain what a Patent bet actually is. It is a system bet, composed of seven wagers from three selections. These are three singles, three doubles, and one treble. As this system uses singles, you start seeing a return after only one correct prediction. Nevertheless, to see a profit you will most likely need two correct results to go your way. It’s is a great little bet, especially for betting on football, however, it is very complicated to work out on your own, and that is where our tool comes in handy.
Patent Bet Calculator: How does it Work?
Using the Patent bet calculator is the very essence of simplicity. We have developed it with user intent in mind, and as a result it is rather self-explanatory, it’s nearly as easy as the Single calculator. Firstly, the main thing to remember is that you need the odds of your three selections available. Without these, you can’t use the tool. Once you have these at hand, you will see three empty boxes for you to enter the odds. In the top right, there will also be a box marked ‘stake’. Here you enter you desired stake amount. Once you have done this you will be pleasantly surprised to find the return and profit total automatically appear in their designated boxes. It is an incredible feat of engineering and means you don’t have to click any extra buttons.
- Insert the stake
Enter the stake amount in the box provided for you in the top right
- Choose the selections
Make sure you are using the Patent calculator, add the odds in the three boxes provided
- Calculate the profit
Automatically receive the totals for the return and profit you stand to make from the bet
A Practical Example
Now we turn to an example in order to put what we have learnt into practice using our Patent calculator.
We chose three teams to win. Sheffield Untied at 8/1 (9.0), Crystal Palace at 4/5 (1.80), and Manchester City at 1/2 (1.50). We chose to place a stake of £10 (works out as an outlay of £9.94). If they all come in, the return would be £97.98, meaning the profit would be £88.04.
What happens if Palace at 4/5 lose? Well, we’d still see a return of £34.08, and a profit of £24.14. That’s not bad at all and shows the great advantage of using this system.
