We’ll start with an explanation of the wager, before explaining in more detail how our flag bet calculator works. Then we’ll go through a practical example to explain how the returns works, so you can calculate profit before making your bet.
The Flag Bet – What is it?
A flag bet consists of four selections that are combined in different ways to make up 23 individual bets. These are; 6 doubles, 4 trebles, 1 four-fold, and 6 up-and-down SSA pairs. Another way of looking at a flag bet is that it’s essentially like using the Yankee betting calculator but with added up-and-down selections. It’s possible to generate a profit just from having one winning selection with this bet.
Using Flag Bet Calculator
Now that we’ve explained the bet, let’s take a look at how our flag betting calculator works. The box below shows in three simple steps how to use our calculator and work out your returns.
- Insert the stake
Enter in the value of your initial stake
- Choose the selections
Add the odds of all four of your selections
- Calculate the profit
Hit enter and the calculator will show you your potential returns. You can edit whether selections won or lost to work out the respective profit.
A Practical Example
For this example we used football betting. We chose 4 selections with a £1 stake. West Ham (3/1), Arsenal (2/1), Crystal Palace (4/1), and Leicester (3/1).
If all the selections won, the profit would be £644. If only West Ham lost, the profit would be £135. If West Ham and Crystal Palace lost, the profit would be £11.
The Advantages and Disadvantages of this Tool
We think the advantages speak for themselves. Flag bets consist of many smaller bets built into something else, with many potential outcomes. That makes it almost impossible for a human to quickly calculate potential profits on the go. Our flag betting returns calculator does that hard work for you.
When to use this calculator? | When shouldn’t you use this calculator? |
---|---|
Quickly work out possible returns | You want to bet on more than 4 selections |
Works well in knock-out sport competitions | You want to bet on multiple selections in the same event |
Use a single stake value | You want the chance to see huge returns |
