The ongoing promotions section is something we truly got excited about during our Coral review. There are loads of promotions for existing members, which is refreshing because most online bookmaker bonuses focus on acquiring new players. Here are some of our favourites:

For horse racing lovers, Coral has a ‘Fail to Finish’ promotion, where placing a bet at any UK flat meeting means that if your selection doesn’t finish for any reason, it gives you money back as a free bet up to £10.

If you’re a football betting fan, then you have to check out Coral’s Football Super Series. This fun challenge lets you predict stats for one Premier League match each week. Weekly high-performers are then awarded one of three prizes:

  • 2 Correct Predictions – £1 Free Bet
  • 3 Correct Predictions – £2 Free Bet
  • 4 Correct Predictions – £50 Cash

Each entry generates points towards the Football Super Series leaderboard. The prize for having the most points each month is a share of £25,000. Like all promotions, this is subject to the operator’s terms and conditions, so we suggest you read them before you decide to participate.

Sportsbook Features

During our Coral review, we really liked how easy it was to navigate and select a bet. It may not be immediately obvious, but you can customise each section and add markets that you have interest in being displayed by making use of the ‘My Coral’ section. I also like the fact that you can minimise sections to give you more screen space. The list of markets is OK and certainly doesn’t have the same variety or numbers as bet365, for example, but of course all the popular topics are well covered.

If you like your novelty bets, then Coral is the bookie for you. It has great seasonal bets such as the River Thames to freeze from bank to bank anywhere between London Bridge And Tower Bridge’ at 66/1. The opposite end of the spectrum asks you if you think the UK temperature high will be broken (38.5C recorded by the Met Office) ‘ at 14/1. The slightly off-key bets don’t stop with the weather though, You can even have a flutter on the next royal baby’s sex or the next prime minister of Britain.

One market that is really gaining a lot of popularity are virtual sports, which are digital events simulated using sophisticated software. Sometimes you can even watch the event as it’s being simulated. Because the operator has five different options, we listed all the virtual sports available at Coral:

  • Horse Racing
  • Greyhound Racing
  • Motorsports
  • Football
  • Basketball

Though relatively new, virtual sports provide people with something to gamble on while they wait for real-life events to start. We know we found ourselves in the virtual sports platforms more than a few times during our Coral review. One of the helpful features we found is the console that shows you at a glance which races are coming up, and it’s normally only seconds until the next race or football match at any given time.

Bet in-play multi-view is a great and novel idea, you can drag and drop selections to make your own channel which means you will not miss any of the action, it is done well and we love to see innovation like this. The Coral live streaming platform is also worthy of a mention, as long as you have credit in your account then you can watch over 5,000 live-streamed events for free. You can watch selected football, tennis, snooker, rugby and basketball games from your PC or mobile device.

Coral radio is available within the sports section and this lets you listen to horse racing commentary, football commentary, cricket commentary, greyhound commentary and football scores. One thing I did discover was that the radio opened in a small window and it hid a ‘Football News’ button. I’m glad I found this link as the person running the radio show sounded like a Geordie Gary Neville if you can imagine such a thing!

As self-confessed geeks, we must admit to loving the statistics tab. We used it constantly during our Coral review. It’s a fountain of knowledge and helps you assess the form and previous meetings at a glance. The information contained is very detailed but yet still easy to navigate and at no point are you ever overwhelmed.

Coral Mobile Betting App Reviewed

The Coral mobile version is quite logical when it comes to its layout. It has a very user-friendly interface, with 4 main sections at the bottom of the screen. You can access the ‘Home’, ‘Live’, ‘Football’ and ‘Racing’ subsections from anywhere, which means it’s very easy to find the most popular sports betting markets.

The ‘Home’ button brings up selected sports betting opportunities and races with some suggested multiples shown for both football and horses. The home page also features a ‘Quick Links’ selection which gives you one-touch access to things like ‘Today’s Football’ and a few other markets.

The ‘Live’ button takes you to the in-play betting area and you can see events that are already in-progress and see the odds change in real-time. By default, all the sports markets are listed. However, you can select icons that display different sports and leagues like football, tennis, golf, cricket, snooker, rugby and a few others to bring the number of in-play categories to nine.

The ‘Racing’ selections are ‘Next Four’, ‘Today’, ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘Future’, so it’s always easy to find the race you want. This format is repeated for Greyhound racing and again it’s simple as pie to wager on the meets you want using both Android and iOS devices.

The differences between the iOS app and the Android APK file is noticeable, not that the content is any different. It just seems to us, like most mobile apps, the Coral sports team focuses on Apple products more than Android devices. The iPad version also allows more content to be shown which makes it easier to navigate.

The official Coral app, while easy to navigate, isn’t super pleasing to the eye. If you care more about function over form, this won’t be an issue. If you want a great mobile app that both looks great and works like a charm, check out our BetVictor mobile review.

One of the best features Coral offers is the ability to have winnings paid out at a Coral shop using the ‘bet and collect’ service. For this to happen you need to apply for a free connect card which is easy to do via their website. Coral connect allows you to collect your winnings in any of the 1800 coral shops. Please note that there are 2 account types:

Full Coral Connect, this account lets you enjoy the full benefits of Coral Connect. You can bet in-shop, online, via mobile, tablet and via the telephone using your card acting as one account. With the card, you can withdraw your winnings in cash from any Coral shop or directly to your registered online bank card.

In-Shop only Connect, In shop only account allows you to bet in-shop only with your Coral Connect account. It allows you to perform cashless transactions and quicker more efficient bet placements. If you get a winner you can keep the funds on your Connect card or withdraw the winnings in cash from any Coral shop.

Coral Help & Support

As one of the largest online bookmakers, Coral has built up quite a reputation for offering great customer support and offering the usual contact methods of live chat, email, telephone and by letter. Live chat is by far the best option, however, because you can get answers instantly and provide screenshots on-demand if you need to. Even though many answers are available in the site’s help section, service agents still take the time to explain things like connect cards, payment options and know-your-customer (KYC) protocols.

What’s really impressive is that Coral tells you its waiting times or ‘average response times’ before you contact someone. This means you can choose to wait or to try at a later time. At the time of writing the response time for live chat is 55 seconds, Email is 2 hours and 55 mins and telephone 18 seconds. We feel this is impressive and shows Coral’s dedication to customer service.

Coral – The History of this Online Sportsbook

Almost any punter in Britain will probably have had contact with Coral. Coral was founded in 1926 by Joseph Kagarlitsky who changed his name to Joe Coral. Joe began his fledgling bookmakers business after borrowing some money from a friend and started to run betting pitches at dog and speedway tracks. In 1960 the government changed the law on betting establishments and Coral was one of the first off-course shops in 1961.

Coral started its online sportsbook in the late 90s, acquiring Eurobet along the way; thus helping it become one of the biggest online betting sites in the UK. Coral was previously owned by the Gala Coral Group, but in late 2016 it announced a merger with Ladbrokes to join shares and create a new company entitled the Ladbrokes Coral Group Plc. Together, the company has an £11.5 billion market cap, putting it firmly in the FTSE 100.

As a result of the deal, which was approved by the UK Competition and Markets Authority, both parties had to sell around 320 betting shops to other companies to prevent a monopoly of the market. This was a notable move because as opposed to competing against each other, both companies decided it was more financially beneficial to join forces in this increasingly complex digital betting age. Most recently, the company was renamed Entain PLC.

Why Did You Give This Sportsbook a 4/5 Grade?

We really liked using this operator during our time writing this Coral review. It is a very easy site to navigate and you can make a bet with a minimum of fuss. Coral is innovative and its virtual sports are fun to bet on and bring excitement to the table. The range of markets is good but not spectacular but what it offers is done well.

On top of that, Coral connect is a great facility and one we definitely recommend you sign up for. Depending on your preferences, it can be nice receiving your payout in cash rather than to your card. Plus, the money is in your pocket right away and you don’t have to wait for processing times.

Coral Our operator pick for horse bets is clearly coral Highly recommended for horse racing Visit Site!

At the end of the day, just a couple of things prevented Coral from getting our highest accolade. The initial bonus is not the best and in our view, there are better offers out there and we feel the lack of in-play cashout is a shame. If you’re looking for in-play cashouts, Paddy Power is a great choice. Overall, however, this is a fantastic site that looks after its customers.
