Karamba Mobile App Reviewed

Karamba may not be a household name and they are more famed for their online casino offerings than their sports book. That doesn’t mean that you should dismiss this smaller operator as they have some clever ideas up their sleeve and some aspects of the Karamba mobile app are executed better than some of the big names.

In this review, we test all the features that you can find in the Karamba app. We look at the different sports betting markets that are available via and rate the customer experience. Is it logically designed? Can I watch live sport through this, is it easy to use, and is it secure? These and many more questions are answered below.

Get Started with Karamba

As with all sports betting mobile apps, we feature on our pages, by far the quickest and easiest method to get it is by scanning the QR code we provide for your benefit. It sounds much more complicated than it is in reality. All you need to do is launch the camera on your smartphone or tablet and point it to the QR code (square that looks like a barcode).

Your device will recognise the picture and ask if you wish to open the address, select yes and you should now see the Karamba product displayed. Click on install and the app will automatically install. Once done, click on open and it will launch.

What Can I Find in the Karamba Sportsbook App

The Karamba app is almost identical in functionality and design to what you see if you access their website. So, if you have used it in the past you will feel right at home.

From a sports betting point of view, the selection of markets is above average with all the most popular sports markets available. Football, horse racing, cricket and tennis betting can be found alongside more obscure markets such as bandy, Gaelic sports and Gaelic hunting. E-sports is an emerging market so we’re pleased to see its inclusion

App Design and Navigation

When you launch the Karamba app it defaults to the casino section with no way of changing this in preferences. One click though takes you to the sports betting with events taking place filling up the screen. Whilst the design is functional it is not the most atheistically pleasing of interfaces, with the grey selection boxes looking uninspiring.

That said, it is easy to scroll through the in-play events by sport and the ever-present icons for football and horse racing will satisfy most people’s needs. There is a search function on the main page and clicking the A-Z will bring up the list of 32 sport betting markets available.

One feature we would like to see is the ability to swipe left to go back a screen. Almost every app and even web browsers allow you to do this and we lost count how many times we tried to do it whilst writing this review. Instead, you have to scroll back to the top and click on the small link, not ideal if you are not able to give it your full concentration for whatever reason.

Live Betting and Streaming

Live betting is a prominent feature of the Karamba sportsbook app and overall it is done well. As soon as you select sports you will see an icon in the middle of the screen saying in-play. Click on that and you will see all the sporting events that you can bet on live.

The sporting event you select will determine how the screen looks. Pick basketball and you’ll see a basketball court with clean crisp graphics representing the action. Pick football and you’ll see a football pitch, tennis and you’ll see a tennis court etc. Some sports like golf don’t have graphics but you can still bet in real-time.

Whilst live betting is perfectly catered for in the Karamba mobile app, the option to watch streaming of events is sadly missing. For many of us this will not be much of a problem as even well-renowned sports betting sites that offer streaming such as bet365, do not have the rights to the most popular sports such as Premier League football.

Bonus Offers for Karamba App Users

All the promotions that are available on the Karamba website are available to app users, but as with many online betting sites, they do not have a specific promotion aimed at the mobile version. It’s not all bad news because their promotions are rather good.

Firstly the welcome bonus for Karamba is a £10 free bet when you deposit £10 and place a bet of 1/1 (2.0). While this is by no stretch of the imagination the biggest welcome bonus you can achieve, the lack of terms and conditions make this an ideal bet to test the app without a long term commitment.

Karamboost is the highlight promotion of this app and gives you the opportunity to boost the winnings from your accumulator bets by up 77% more. A four-fold will pay 4% more than the published price and the rewards stack up the more selections you make. 8-folds pay 20% more, 14-folds pay 50% but make one more selection and your winning 15-fold will be boosted to 77%, up to a maximum of £11,000.

For sports lovers, they also offers Karamba guess. They give you 4 sporting events and if you guess correctly you win risk-free in-play bets every Saturday and Sunday until the end of May next year.

Betslip and Minimum Bet

One of the biggest complaints we have regarding mobile betting products is how they manage placing several bets on the move. Many mobile apps fill up the screen as you add bets which means you are continuously closing down your betting slip to add more selections. If you’ve ever tried to do this in a busy pub or on a crowded train, you’ll know what we mean.

Thankfully Karamba take a different approach. Add a selection and the app gives you visual acknowledgement of your selection and a clear, easy to read number is displayed showing how many bets are in your betting slip. This makes adding selections for an accumulator so much easier when finished adding picks just click on the betting slip.

Transactions & More

It is difficult to find fault with the choices you have when it comes to making a deposit. 17 different payment methods are accepted, all of which can be used via the app. All the payment methods you’d expect to see are here, Visa, Mastercard and bank transfer. If you prefer other methods then popular services from Skrill, Neteller and paysafecard are available. Less popular services include ecoPayz, Euteller eps and entropay.

The app, as well as the Karamba mobile website, is protected by 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) security which encrypts all data between your device and their servers, ensuring your details are safe from prying eyes.

One of the biggest gripes with sports betting online is the length of time it takes from when you request a withdrawal and for the funds to be in your account. After all, when a deposit is made, the money is there instantly.

Karamba’s timescales are a bit on the long side with Skrill, Neteller, ecoPayz being the quickest methods with a 3 business day timescale. Visa and Mastercard withdrawals take between 6-8 business days. This means during bank holidays it can take a couple of weeks till you get access to your money. Plenty of bookmakers offer rapid withdrawals for mobile bettors, check out the full mobile betting in the UK report for details.

Karamba App: iOS & Android Requirements

The Karamba mobile app will work on modern Apple and Android devices with the devices needing to be on at least iOS 8 for Apple products and Android users needing to be on Jelly Bean 8.1 or higher. Officially these are the only two platforms it works on but older devices can enjoy an almost identical experience by accessing Karamba’s website via your mobile browser.

  • AndroidKaramba mobile app on AndroidAndroid OS 4.4 or later.
  • iPhone and iPadKaramba mobile app on iPhone and iPadiOS Version: iOS 9.0 or later.

As we discussed earlier the quickest and easiest way to download is to use the camera on your mobile and scan our QR code, this will take you to the correct download for your device. We provide links to sign up for the operator on this page, you can download it directly from Apple’s Store and Google’s Playstore but you do run the risk of not benefitting from any exclusive promotions we may have with the promoter.

There is a lot to like about the mobile offering from Karamba. We love this app for accumulators, which you can find described in our guide to football betting, it is one of the best we have tried for Saturday’sover different divisions. We are also big fans of how the bet amount is predefined with £10, this amount per bet can be changed with one click to a different amount. This may sound simple but not all of them do this, and it saves valuable seconds each time. As big accumulator fans we really like the promotion targeted directly at multiple betting.

  • Karamba Mobile App Pros & Cons
  • Conduct customer service well
  • High level of security
  • Strong racing market odds
  • Easy depositing
  • Slow withdrawals
  • Difficult usability

The app is not without fault though. Occasionally we found it would lag, especially when switching from casino to the sports betting section, but usually was just for a second or two. This normally wouldn’t be an issue but it defaults to casino on launch, something that is irksome. We also found it had dead links with a section that promised a ‘football betting guide’ doing nothing more than taking us in circles. More concerning was the inability to launch the support chat from within the screen. The option is there but over several days it refused to work. You can still get support using the Karamba mobile website, though. On balance though the positives far outweigh the negatives and we recommend reading more at our Karamba sportsbook review.
