Kick-off: Saturday, 3pm
Venue: The Boleyn Ground
Coverage: Sky Sports 1, BBC 5 Live
Home form: DDLDL
Away form: WWLWW
Last season: 1-1
Competition: The Premier League

The Hammers showed a fantastic performance at Old Trafford against Manchester United, but were denied by David De Gea and the post in their attempts to score. They eventually kept a sheet clean and left with 1 point, which is good enough for them. Now, West Ham will host Stoke in the 16th round match and it won’t be an easy game for The Hammers.

Shaqiri and Arnautovic were simply brilliant in Stoke’s last match against Manchester City. The Swiss international made two wonderful assists and Arnautovic scored twice within the first 15 minutes and eventually The Potters earned the three points against the favourites for The Premiership title fight. In addition, Jack Butland kept another clean sheet and showed he is the main challenger for the goalkeeper’s position of The English national team.

West Ham have an advantage against their opponents in the Head to Head matches. The Hammers have won half of their home games against Stoke (13 of 27). The Potters have recorded a victory at The Boleyn Ground on only 6 occasions, which goes to show that they feel really uncomfortable when playing away to West Ham.

Team News

Peter Crouch and Odemwingie of Stoke City, both have received a hamstring injury and will be out for at least two weeks.

Enner Valencia and Dimitri Payet are still not recovered from their injuries, which means that Andy Carroll, for sure, will be among the starting XI.

Diafra Sakho is the last injured player in West Ham’s squad. The Senegalese is suffering from a thigh muscle strain.

Muniesa and Shay Given are injured and both are missing the game for Stoke. However, Given will struggle to find his place among the starting line-up, because Butland is simply brilliant.
