The Swans made an impressive fightback against Stoke City last weekend. They were 2-0 down, but their leader Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a magnificent goal. Then, Alberto Paloschi equalized 10 minutes before the final whistle. So, Swansea City collected 37 points and are 10 in front of 18th-placed Sunderland. Francesco Guidolin’s players are in good form. They have won 3 of their last 5 Premier League matches.
The Chelsea players had a really nice trip to Birmingham on Saturday. They showed a great performance against Aston Villa and won 4-0. Guus Hiddink can be happy that his new signing Alexandre Pato scored on his debut for The Blues. And after this victory The Londoners got closer to the sixth place in the standings (6 points). Diego Costa has scored 5 goals against Swansea in the last 3 games between these two teams, but The Spaniard is going to miss the match through suspension.
Swansea City have failed to score against Chelsea in the last 3 matches between these two teams. The Swans lost two of these games, conceding 6 goals. However, Swansea have won only once against The Londoners.
Francesco Guidolin has no problems with injured players. So, the manager can field his best players against Chelsea on Saturday.
Eden Hazard is suffering from a thigh muscle strain. The last time the Belgian international played for The Blues was against PSG in The Champions League.
Kurt Zouma is the other main omission for The Londoners. The Frenchman is suffering from a ACL knee ligaments injury and won’t be ready to play until the end of the season.
Alexandre Pato scored on his debut for Chelsea. The Brazilian is expected to be among the starting eleven against Swansea City.
