Kick-off: Saturday, 5:30pm
Venue: The Britannia Stadium
Coverage: Sky Sports 1, BBC 5 Live
Home form: DWLWW
Away form: LLLDW
Last season: 0-2
Competition: The Premier League

This match against Stoke City seems to be the last chance for Mourinho to remain Chelsea’s manager. The Blues have recently played at The Britannia Stadium, where they were knocked out of The Capital One Cup. In regular time the game finished with a 1-1 draw, but then Stoke triumphed on penalties and the Portuguese manager saw his team out of the tournament.

Now, his destiny will be decided again at Stoke’s home field. Chelsea lost their last three games in the domestic competitions, so their chances for the upcoming fixture aren’t the best. In addition, The Blues have won only three of their 11 Premiership matches. They have recorded only one away victory – 3-2 vs. West Bromwich Albion.

Stoke City’s last two Premiership matches showed that the team has serious problems in defence. The England international, Jack Butland made several great saves against Newcastle after defensive errors and saved the point for his team. The Potters lost 0-2 to Watford in their last home game and they could have conceded many more, only their good luck saved them.

Team News

The Spanish defender – Marc Muniesa has recently received a hamstring injury and is surely missing the match against Chelsea.

Asmir Begovic will again be included into Chelsea’s starting eleven, because of Courtois injury. The Belgian goalkeeper is suffering from a knee injury.

Ex Barcelona player, Pedro, is also missing the game for The Blues. The Spaniard has recently received an injury on a team training session.

Mourinho is expected to make many changes to Chelsea’s starting line-up, especially in defence. The team has conceded 12 goals in the last 5 Premiership games.
