Kick-off: Saturday, 3pm
Venue: The St. Mary’s Stadium
Coverage: Sky Sports 1, BBC 5 Live
Home form: LLLWL
Away form: DWWLL
Last season: 0-0
Competition: The Premier League

After the great start of the season for Southampton, The Saints have felt a significant form drop and are lying in 13th position in the standings. They have recently been playing very weak. The 4-0 victory against Arsenal was quite an episodic performance and they need a serious motivation for the match against The Baggies. The Saints have also been eliminated from The FA Cup in the third round after losing 1-2 to Crystal Palace at home.

West Bromwich were lucky to equalize in the last minute of the additional time against Bristol City last weekend. The good news for Tony Pulis is that Berahino found the net and showed respect to his manager, shaking his hand. The striker is expected to start the match against Southampton for The Baggies.

The Baggies always struggle when playing away against The Saints. West Bromwich have won only 2 of 23 matches at The St. Mary’s Stadium. The most common situation is a Southampton victory, most of the occasions by one goal difference. Are Southampton capable of winning against West Brom?

Team News

Jonas Olsson of West Bromwich is still not recovered from his injury. The Swedish defender was injured in The Baggies’ match against Newcastle on 28th December.

Ben Foster and Victor Anichebe are the other Baggies’ players who are surely missing the game. The Nigerian has taken part in only 2 matches this season.

Victor Wanyama is going to miss the game against West Bromwich through suspension. The Kenyan midfielder received a red card against Norwich.

Soares, Rodriguez and Gardos are in Southampton’s injury list. The Portuguese defender Cedric Soares is suffering from a groin strain.
