Man Utd look to Rebound against the Blues
Last updated: April 26, 2019 by Leon Marshal
|Last Meeting:||Chelsea 2 – 2 Man Utd|
The battle for fourth place is really hotting up with only three games remaining in the season. Chelsea travel to Old Trafford looking to bounce back from a midweek draw. The Ole Gunnar Solksjaer bubble has well and truly burst, and United have been pretty abysmal as of late. Both sides will be desparate for a win.
Utd have suffered seven defeats in the past nine games across all competitions and is a truly dreadful run of form which has seen them knocked out of the Champions League and struggle to keep touch with the top four. Not only is it a mirage back to the days of Mourinho, the performances, patricularly a 4-0 defeat to Everton, have also left much to be desired. The players look lethargic and do not resemble Manchester United of days gone by.
However, this reminiscing of past glory will do no one any good, and it is up to players such as Pogba and Rashford to step up. To miss out on the CL would be a catastrophe for recruitment and also could signal the departure of key stars such as De Gea. With ageing players such as Ashley Young and failed signings like Eric Bailly, there is a lot to do at Old Trafford. For any hope going into next season, they really do need to show some grit in this game.
Chelsea fans are still not satisfied with what the team has on offer, even if results over the past month have been ok. The team are in fourth place and are currently on course to qualify for the CL, but Sarri ball is yet to win anyone over. They desperately need a win here to ensure they will stay above Utd and Arsenal. They also have another option for CL qualification and that is to win the Europa League. They do face a stern Frankfurt test in the semi-finals, so nothing is a given and the league remains their best option.
Callum Hudson-Odoi featured in his 10th PL game of the season against Burnley, and devastatingly it will be his last. The young talent ruptured his Achilles and faces a long spell on the sideline. Fans will be hoping he can regain his burst and speed when he eventually returns next year. For the rest of the year, they will be hoping Hazard can carry on with his magic, especially as it looks as though he will be leaving in the summer.
Phil Jones is struggling for match fitness after missing the midweek game.
Alexis Sanchez is in line for an increased role after returning from injury as a substitute.
Calum Hudson-Odoi is out for the rest of the season with a ruptured Achilles.
Eden Hazard is in fine form and the star is guaranteed to be in the starting lineup here.

Conclusion & Betting Tips
This game is going to be hotly contested, but with Utd in dreadful form and lacking self belief they may not be up to win it. A draw at 5/2 is a good option found at Betfred.
