Kick-off: Wednesday, 7:45pm
Venue: Stamford Bridge
Coverage: Sky Sports 1, BBC 5 Live
Home form: WDDWL
Away form: WWLLD
Last season: 2-0
Competition: The Premier League

It’s been three Premiership rounds since Guus Hiddink was appointed as Chelsea’s manager and The Blues look like a completely different team. The players seem to be more motivated and the last two results prove it. The Blues recorded a draw at Old Trafford against Manchester United and then they were impressive against Crystal Palace and won 3-0 at Selhurst Park. Furthermore, Chelsea’s home performance isn’t that bad. The Blues have lost only 1 of their last 6 matches at Stamford Bridge (all tournaments).

Now, Chelsea have another difficult task – The Blues will host West Brom on Wednesday. The Baggies are on a run of two consecutive Premier League victories. They won 1-0 against Newcastle and then recorded a 2-1 victory against Stoke City a week ago. But West Brom’s last victory away from home was two months ago when The Baggies beat Norwich 1-0.

West Brom’s players traditionally feel very uncomfortable when visiting Stamford Bridge. For instance, the last Baggies’ away victory over Chelsea was recorded on 30th September 1978 when West Brom beat The Blues 3-1! So, it’ll be a big surprise if The Baggies win the game.

Team News

Ben Foster is very close to recovery. The English goalkeeper has been suffering from a knee ligament injury since March 2015.

Jonas Olsson, who is West Brom’s key defender is injured. The Swedish international has recorded 13 appearances and 1 goal this season.

Eden Hazard has received a groin strain against Crystal Palace in the last premiership round. The Belgian will be missing for at least two weeks.

Remy, Gary Cahill, Falcao and the new signing Atsu for Chelsea are also injured. So, the only option in The Blues’ attack is Diego Costa.
