Chelsea have recently started to show their best. The Blues haven’t lost a Premier League game since the appointment of Guus Hiddink. In addition, The Blues were through to The FA Cup’s quarter finals, after smashing Manchester City 5-1. It looks easy to predict Chelsea to finish in the top 6. The Blues showed great spirit, turning things around against Southampton at The St. Mary’s Stadium last weekend. The Saints couldn’t keep a sheet clean against Chelsea (before the game they were on a run of 6 consecutive games without conceding a goal).
The Potters shouldn’t be underestimated, but at this stage of the season they don’t seem to have a serious chance against the in-form Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Stoke City won 2-1 against Aston Villa, but Mark Hughes’ lads have conceded 11 goals in their last 5 Premier League matches.
The Head to Head results show that Chelsea have a very good chance of winning the match. The Blues have recorded 21 victories of 36 home games against Stoke City. The Potters have won just 6 of these matches. The Blues have scored 67 goals against The Potters at Stamford Bridge.
John Terry has a hamstring problem. The defender last played two weeks ago against Newcastle United.
Radamel Falcao and Kurt Zouma are the other Chelsea players who can’t take part in the match, because of injuries. However, Falcao has played only 9 games this season.
Ryan Shawcross is suffering from a back injury. The English defender has recorded 13 appearances this season. He last played a month ago against Leicester City.
Charlie Adam, Marc Wilson, Muniesa, Glenn Johnson and Shay Given are also injured for The Potters. Johnson received a knee injury a week ago.
Quotes of the week

Mark Hughes (Stoke City) : “Marko is doing really well. Since he’s come here, we have talked about his ability, power and pace.”
