Klopp and Liverpool Target Emirates Success
Last updated: November 1, 2018 by Leon Marshal
|Last Meeting:||Arsenal 3 – 3 Liverpool|
The Saturday evening game sees Arsenal face Liverpool at Emirates Stadium. Arsenal under new manager Unai Emery have found their form and are unbeaten in eight Premier League games. Liverpool could prove to be a stern challenge and this top-four clash is shaping up to test Arsenal’s title challenge credentials.
Arsenal have had some injury concerns coming into the game with Hecotr Bellerin, Nacho Monreal, and Sead Kolasinac all facing late fitness tests. Lorent Koscielny is also trying to regain full match fitness having only recently returned to training. Even so, since a rocky start to the season Arsenal have been on fire. After losing to both Manchester City and Chelsea, they have gone on to win 11 of their last 12 games in all competitions. Arsenal now sit in the top four and there is talk of them being able to mount a title challenge. As a team, Arsenal are playing full of confidence right now and will see this game against Liverpool as an opportunity to send a message to the rest of the league.
Arsenal will be hoping Mesut Ozil can put last weekend behind him after his tantrum at Crystal Palace raised some eyebrows. The talented captain was not happy at being replaced in the 68th minute at Selhurst Park and barged past Emery and threw his gloves to ground. Although Emery later commended his passion, it remains to be seen if this will have any lasting effects on Ozil’s performance.
Liverpool have also made a flying start to the Premier League season. With 26 points from their first 10 games, they have equalled their best ever start. In their last game against Cardiff they dominated on the way to a 4-1 victory. They had over 80% possession and Mo Saleh was finally back on the score sheet. The Egyptian forward will be hoping to continue his goalscoring form, just as he did last season. Although Liverpool remain unbeaten in the Premier League, they recently suffered their first defeat in the Champions League. Napoli scored a 90th minute winner after a tepid performance by Liverpool to beat last year’s finalist 1-0. Even so, Liverpool bounced back with some strong performances and are one of this year’s serious title contenders.
Klopp has enjoyed a fine start to his Liverpool career in matches against Arsenal. In the five matches he has played against Arsenal he remains unbeaten. Even Roberto Firmino has been a thorn in the side for Arsenal. In every one of his last three games against them he has both scored and had an assist. Liverpool are mounting a serious title challenge and remain toe-to-toe with Manchester City at the top of the league and will want to keep the pressure up.
Whatever the outcome it seems we are in for a goal fest. The last five Premier League games between the two sides has produced 27 goals. This clash will be a stern test for both sides and Liverpool will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run, whilst Arsenal will be hoping for their first victory in seven attempts against Liverpool.
Arsenal are sweating on the fitness of Hector Bellerin after the defender picked up a thigh problem in last week’s draw with Palace. He will face a late fitness test.
The Gunners are currently on an eight match unbeaten run.
Liverpool are yet to lose a match in the Premier League, with eight wins and two draws to sit second in the table, level on points with Manchester City who are top on goal difference.
Liverpool are waiting on the fitness of Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson.

Conclusion & Betting Tips
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 2 of Liverpool’s last 6 games but they face an Arsenal side that have scored at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 matches. With both sides having attacking flair this trend should continue.
In the past 5 meetings between these sides there have been 27 goals. So, if history is anything to go by, then this should be a goal fest. Over 2.5 would be a safe bet. Get the best odds at 888sport.
