Live Betting & Additional Features

One of the more attractive features of the bet-at-home uk betting site is the in-play arena. With well over 100 live betting fixtures available every day on sports such as football, tennis, basketball, rugby, table tennis and even eSports, you are seldom left struggling for options. In addition, the super-handy live betting calendar allows you to see exactly which events are available for in-play betting for the day and the days ahead, so you never miss out on the chance to place a wager on your favourite sports.

As you’d expect from a first-class bookmaker such as bet-at-home, there are a number of extra features available on both the desktop and mobile platforms to keep you entertained. To begin with, there’s a comprehensive stats and live scores centre that comes packed with a bucketload of important data. You can go back and look up results, stats and important facts and figures on over 25 sports, which can really make all the difference when the time comes to research sports teams and make well-informed bets.

One other important aspect worth noting about the operator is the availability of bets on online esports markets. They are one of the only UK betting sites that allow their customers to wager on a large number of online gaming tournaments that include Overwatch, Hearthstone, Dota 2, League of Legends and Counter-Strike. If you’re a big e-sports fan and like to wager on the biggest worldwide tournaments then bet-at-home is the place to you.

bet-at-home Mobile Betting App Reviewed

The only word that the team could use to explain the design used by bet-at-home was divisive! Like Marmite, half the team had no issues with the no-frills approach while the other half hated the design. Ultimately it is for you to decide if this suits you but we of course are not shy to share our experience.

The first thing to say is that the bet-at-home sportsbook app works perfectly whether you use it on a desktop, mobile or tablet. Betting on any market, no matter how obscure is quick and easy. Opening the homepage gives you access to all the sports you need, no matter how obscure.

A large part of the main screen focusses on main events coming up. This is shown ‘blog’ like in full-sized colourful boxes and the text was intriguing and enticed us to check out the stories further. This, unfortunately, was the first design flaw we encountered. It is natural to click the box to find out more information but despite repeated taps the information didn’t change. Only later when we used the desktop did we notice that there is a small highlighted term there that took us direct to the event. We missed this on the mobile. If the box was clickable, this would resolve this issue.

When you scroll down on the main page you see 3 icons for sport (football, tennis and basketball), the rest of the screen is taken up by casino and virtual markets. We can understand this format as the bet-at-home mobile website caters for casino customers as well as sport customers but we can’t help thinking that screen space could have been put to better use.

A hint would be to use the “Show all” button after the three sport icons or click the “Sport” icon at the top of the page to show all markets. Live in-play can also be found easily to show live betting.

Clicking on this option tidies the options available for sports instantly. Big banners show live events taking place and we are pleased that you can click on the whole box to launch that event. The rest of the screen lists all the sports with the number of events available to bet on being shown. You also get access to quick links at the bottom of the device which lists upcoming events as well as a results section to keep track of your previous bets.

While all of this is totally functional, we couldn’t at least point out that the interface is rather dull. It’s just so uninspiring to look at and seems devoid of personality and character. Again we stress this is all down to personal opinion, you don’t need a Porsche to drive to Asda’s but….

Available Payment Methods

Any bookmaker worth its salt has to make sure it allows its customers to debit their accounts using a good selection of payment methods. bet-at-home is no exception; punters are able to deposit using all the most commonly used debit cards such as Visa, MasterCard. Punters that prefer prepaid cards and e-Wallets can also use Skrill, Neteller and paysafecard. There are, however, a couple of negative points to flag up here.

Firstly, all deposits made with Visa, MasterCard and Diners Club are subject to a 2% processing fee. This, needless to say, is a charge that most punters wouldn’t be too happy about and something that you don’t see at bookies such as Ladbrokes. Secondly, the operator does not accept payments made via PayPal, which is disappointing as PayPal is one of the most widely used and convenient payment methods in the world today.

The good news is that all the payment methods (with the exception of bank transfers) are processed immediately and the longest time you’ll have to wait for a withdrawal to reach your account is 3 business days.

In our experience with the live chat customer support service, the wait time before we were connected with an agent was always kept to a minimum, and our one-to-one dealings with them were always pleasant. In the vast majority of cases the agents were able to deal with our queries in a friendly and efficient manor; in all those instances when they weren’t able to satisfy our requests an email response was arranged, in which we received a response within 12 hours.

History of the Company

bet-at-home was founded by Jochen Dickinger and Franz Ömer back in 1999 in Austria and first went online one year later in 2000. In its early years it focused solely on suppling sports betting products, however after sustained success they expanded their operations into the online casino and poker business in 2005 and 2006 respectively, and the website was redesigned to accommodate the new online platforms. Now, with a full portfolio that boasts live casino games, virtual sports and games, the company has over 4.5million registered customers across Europe in over 13 different languages and a staff force of well over 300 employees.

Top Online Betting Services

bet-at-home is a well-established, top-quality betting site with more than 15 years of experience in the industry that we definitely would recommend trying. There are a few key features missing here, including a live streaming service and that all-important welcome bonus, however the overall number of bets available every day, the slick, easy-use platform and the virtual sports betting range – that includes football, basketball, tennis, dog racing and horse racing – means that it’s well worth a punt.
