£30 in Free Bets for New Customers and Other Promotions

There is no better feeling than getting off to a flyer at anything. Adrenaline flows through your body, you feel unstoppable and the entire universe is on your side. As any seasoned gambler knows, there’s no such thing as a sure bet, but the William Hill promotions give you a few chances to win.

History remembers examples in which bettors have hit it big with way less than the £30 in free bets that William Hill gives new customers. If you sign up and place a £10 bet, you get the William Hill bonus which is 300% of your initial deposit up to £30 in the form of free bets. Here’s how to claim the bonus:

Follow These Steps to Get Your Bonus from William Hill:

William Hill account setup using the bonus code. Set up your William Hill account online today using our link

Making a bet at 1.5 or higher. Place bets totaling £10 or more using code C30

Placing a free bet at the William Hill online betting site. Receive 3 x £10 bets to use at William Hill

You have a generous 30 days to use your free bets and can be used on any event without any odds restrictions as long as your qualifying bet is at odds of at least 1/2 (1.5 for you decimal lovers). Not that deposits with Skrill, Neteller and paysafecard do not qualify for this offer so choose another payment method if you wish to take advantage.

That being said, while researching for our William Hill sportsbook review, we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the promotions hub. On top of its generous welcome bonus, there are a number of ongoing William Hill promotions for existing account holders as well.

A perfect example for immense list of promotions is the one at Paddy Power. Anyway, our William Hill review found a nice set of money-back specials for football. Here are the conditions under which they are activated:

  • Acca Insurance – If your 6-fold or greater lets you down just by one leg.
  • “Bore Draw” Insurance – Returns all losing correct score and double result bets for 0-0 draws.
  • Goalscorer 2nd Chance – If your first goalscorer pick grabs the game’s second.

All stakes are paid back as free bets and the standard terms and conditions apply. The maximum refund you can get for each of those promotions is £50. However, another great thing about these offers is that they’re also available for William Hill mobile users.

The “Four Means More” promotion is another cracking deal from William Hill, where if you bet on specific markets of selected games, you receive a bonus of 25% in free bets on your winnings if four or more goals are scored in the match. The maximum free bet of £100 per customer, per market, per match and is an incredible way to grab some free bets.

Live Betting Console and Other Sportsbook Features

As for anything else in life, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure and this applies to sports betting, too. The variety found at the William Hill sportsbook is the most comprehensive and fascinating feature of the online betting site, no doubt about it. Both markets covered and additional bets are simply unmatched by any other bookmaker on the world wide web.

It frequently has over 200 betting options for the top British or European league and cup competitions. Logically, the main focus is on football and horse racing as the most popular sports in the country. Indeed, it’s one of the best horse racing betting sites out there today.

Even though it lacks the slickness and appeal we found in our Ladbrokes review, the William Hill live betting console is still a pretty good one. Hundreds and maybe even thousands of events from every relevant sport are featured daily.

We encourage you to see for yourself and check out the ample supply of scheduled events, which is located in the tab next to the ongoing ones. It’s not a strict rule, but almost every time a reference to a live console leads to the betting site’ live broadcasting practices. It just kind of comes naturally.

In that department, our William Hill betting review found that the site is well-prepared once again. You can watch the action live as it unfolds for football, tennis, snooker, cricket and many other events. The only requirement is for your account to be funded or a bet to be placed in the last 24 hours.

Regarding streams for horse racing, you need to bet at least £1 on any event you want to watch. If you are into multimedia, there is no better place for you than ‘the home of betting’ (as William Hill frequently refer to themselves). In the radio and podcasts section, there are loads of useful and frequently updated content.

The Tip Advisor section is at your service if you are having second thoughts on what selection you should back. As we mentioned before, there’s no such thing as a sure bet, but thanks to this feature you can easily follow the top tipsters’ picks and decide whether to trust them or not. The news section of the website comes in handy if you need deeper insight into all the featured sports.

On the downside, there is no betting exchange, but the William Hill mobile app can easily make you forgive them this small drawback. ‘Cash In My Bet’ is another striking attribute that is worthy of your attention. It gives you extra control over your bets. Just go to the ‘Open Bets’ tab in your bet slip. There you can see what value you can get for each of your bets at any given time.

William Hill Mobile Betting App Reviewed

Swedish app developers Mobenga did some really good job designing William Hill’s mobile product. The app interface is oozing with flair and everything seems to be in the perfect place. The quick navigation is simplified, you won’t find dozens of icons for the likes of Baseball or Ice skating. If you need to place a bet on any event apart football, tennis and horse racing, it is just a click away on the Sports menu in the top-left corner of your screen. There are quick links for every market, making the app navigation intuitive for everyone.

Banking at William Hill

Another sportsbook feature that leaves competitors fuming is the supported payment methods. The list is ridiculously long and includes payment options that I haven’t even heard of before. Apart from them, of course, you will find all the famous bank cards and e-wallets. Check out the table below for a full list.

Before we get there though, it’s worth noting that all the payment methods have a minimum deposit of £10. Don’t be surprised if at some point the operator requests a photocopy of your personal documents. It is a standard security-related procedure and you can rest assured that your data is safe and sound.

The bookmaker is so customer-oriented, it even developed its own method you can use to complete deposits and withdrawals. It’s called William Hill CashDirect and is available only for accounts in British Pound Sterling. This method works with CashDirect vouchers, which you can purchase from your nearest William Hill betting shop.

Use the website-based shop locator if you experience difficulties in finding one. Simply enter the unique 19-digit number in the deposit menu and you are done. When it comes to collecting your winnings, just generate and print off a CashDirect redemption voucher and get your cash in any land-based William Hill establishment.

If you’ve been around in gambling circles for a while, then you know William Hill has a reputation for having some of the highest payout limits in the industry. Our William Hill sportsbook review confirmed this, as we found that a single horse race can win you up to £1 million and the maximum payout for top football leagues is £2 million.

Support Team at William Hill

While overlooked by many gamblers, we emphasized customer service during our William Hill review. There is a vast FAQ section in the help centre, which will help you resolve any kind of potential problems. The most popular FAQs can be sorted either by relevance and date added, or you can simply enter a keyword in the search engine.

You can reach William Hill using a variety of methods like live chat, telephone and e-mail. There are free hotlines for both UK and international users, but I personally find the live chat feature much more useful. That way you can save yourself a fair amount of time and effort.

You rarely have to wait more than a minute to contact an associate and they are more than competent in most areas. Understandably, the support team is a bit suspicious when approached with questions about inside company information, but overall they are nice, friendly and ready to help.

The fastest and easiest way to launch the live chat is when you are logged in from your account area, but it is also accessible by outside users who are still to decide whether they will join the William Hill sportsbook or not.

William Hill History Lesson

I bet you know a lot of things about William Hill, but not as many as you might have liked. It is general knowledge that the company is not only domestic but also a global leader in the sports betting industry. In this paragraph I’ve highlighted some of the most significant milestones in their dazzling history.

It all began back in 1934, when Birmingham-born William Hill started the company, by taking postal and telephone bets. Of course, at this time betting was illegal in England, so you can imagine all possible ‘shady’ operations that probably took place. Despite all circumstances, William Hill started to build his reputation as a fair and trustworthy bookmaker right away. Positive attitude, from which the company would benefit greatly in the future.

It was some 27 years later when gambling was legalised and became strictly regulated by the government. William Hill entered the fold in 1966 by opening his first retail betting shop. The company founder retired in 1970 and passed away the following year. Sears Holdings Group started to manage the business, which kick-started an era marked with multiple ownership changes.

In 1988, Grand Metropolitan acquired William Hill, just to sell the company a year later to Brent Walker. A financial collapse in 1997 made him hand over the corporation to Japanese investors Nomura. The bookmaker was eventually listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2002.

We flashback to 1998, which was a significant year, not only due to Michael Owen’s goal against Argentina. That was also the year when (according to their website) William Hill became the first-ever online bookmaker. Going online can be seen as a kind of revolution that completely altered the perception of betting on sports.

The latest chapter in William Hill’s history came in 2021 when William Hill PLC divested its stake in the US market by selling its American naming rights to Caesar’s of Las Vegas fame. William Hill’s remaining global operations were purchased by 888 Holdings PLC.

Why William Hill Deserved a 4/5 Grade!

To be honest, we were really excited when the William Hill review was assigned to us. With it’s pristine reputation and worldwide credibility, we got pretty much what we expected. However, it’s purely functional and is a bit bare-bones when compared to modern bookmakers like bet365. For more on that operator, see our bet365 review.

First of all, the welcome bonus is fairly generous. A UK bookmaker offering three times your initial investment is hard to come by in this day and age. On the other hand, while it may only be a gut reaction, our overall impression is that ‘The Home of Betting’ needs to have a better-looking interface.

On the flip side, the upper hands of William Hill are notably more significant. Managing your account and betslip is intuitive and it has some very solid customer support. As we already mentioned, there is no better place online where you can find similar amount of relevant markets, additional bets and payment methods.

At the end of the day, we were quite impressed throughout our William Hill sportsbook review. This globally recognised bookmaker has a plethora of features and caters to the entire spectrum of punters, both professional and casual.

Our bottom line is that William Hill certainly earns its reputation as a global powerhouse, and it’s one which you should certainly have in your arsenal when you’re shopping for the best lines.
