Game details

. .

Kick-off: Saturday, 3pm
Venue: The Hawthorns
Coverage: Sky Sports 1, BBC 5 Live
Home form: LLWWL
Away form: DLWLW
Last season: 0-1
Competition: The Premier League

Arsenal failed to win against Tottenham in the North London derby and ended with a 1-1 draw at the Emirates Stadium. Although Spurs were the better team on the field they couldn’t beat The Gunners. Harry Kane scored the opening goal for Tottenham, but Kieran Gibbs equalised for a draw fifteen minutes before the end of the game. Despite the point they won, The Gunners couldn’t take advantage of the mishap of Manchester City during The Citizens visit to Aston Villa (0-0).

On the other hand, West Brom’s home performance is pretty bad. The Baggies have lost 4 of their 6 matches at The Hawthorns. In addition, they have conceded 12 goals in these games, which means 2 goals in their net per game on average. Furthermore, The Baggies lost their last Premiership match against Manchester United at Old Trafford 2-0 and left with 14 points, only six away from the relegation zone.

Only three days after this match, Arsenal are going to play in The Champions League against Dinamo Zagreb, which is a very important game for them. So, Arsene Wenger can give some more rest days to his key players and give some playing time to his substitutes, which means West Brom have their chance to surprise The Gunners.

Team News

The veteran midfielder Gareth McAuley was sent off in the final minute of West Brom’s last match and will be missing the game against Arsenal through suspension.

Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott are still injured and won’t take part in the match. They received their injuries against Sheffield Wednesday in The Capital One Cup.

Hector Bellerin has recently received a groin strain injury and won’t be fit for the visit to The Hawthorns.

Aaron Ramsey has returned to full training after recovering from his hamstring problem. The midfielder hasn’t played in an official game for a month.
