Competition: The Premier League

Bournemouth looked like the favourite for relegation just a month ago. But now the situation is different. The Cherries are unbeaten in 4 consecutive Premier League matches. Moreover they beat Chelsea and Manchester United in their last two games. The inspired Bournemouth players totally smashed The Red Devils in the last round and absolutely deservedly won 2-1. They could even have won by a larger margin, but Glenn Murray couldn’t score from his great chances in the second half. In addition, Junior Stanislas is enjoying playing at his top form. He scored directly from a corner kick against United.

West Brom’s performance is also great. The Baggies drew 2-2 against Liverpool at Anfield last Sunday. West Brom proved they are very dangerous when taking free kicks in front of the opponent’s goal, scoring three goals against Liverpool (one was disallowed). The Baggies are also unbeaten in 4 consecutive games. They even beat Arsenal 2-1 on 21st Nov. 2015.

Both teams have played 3 Head to Head matches, and all of them were in The Capital One Cup. Bournemouth shocked West Brom in the last campaign, winning 2-1 at The Vitality Stadium. O’Kane and Wilson scored and put Bournemouth ahead in the tournament.

Team News

Stephane Sessegnon of West Brom has received a hamstring problem and surely won’t take part in the match against Bournemouth.

Ben Foster is very close to his return to the pitch. He is suffering from a knee ligament injury and will be fit within a month.

Only the long-term injured players are unavailable for Bournemouth. As you know Wilson, Atsu, Gradel and Mings will be on The Cherries’ injury list for a very long time.

Junior Stanislas is going to be the key player for Bournemouth. He has scored 3 goals in the last 3 matches, so he will be among the starting XI again.
