Last season: 1-1
Competition: The Premier League

Sunderland left with three points from their visit to Crystal Palace in the final game of the 13th round of The Premier League. The Black Cats won 1-0, but the success was a gift by the hosts who made a blunder in defence in the 80th minute and allowed Jermain Defoe to score the only goal in the game. The match was pretty level and both teams had their chances to score, but eventually Scott Dann made a terrible error, which sent the points to the visiting team.

Stoke won 1-0 in their last Premiership away match against Southampton. Bojan Krkić scored the only goal in the 10th minute. The Spaniard scored with a technical shot, after a great delivery from Pieters. In the second half, the visitors could have achieved a second goal, but Xherdan Shaqiri sent the ball just wide. Contrary to expectations, until the end of the second part, The Potters were the team with more clear chances and left with a more convincing performance. Afellay and Arnautovic missed great goal-scoring chances and eventually the final score was 0-1.
